I just put this rack together today, and one of the major pieces (the "arm" of the rack, which is the piece which actually holds the bike) was broken.This meant that half the bike rack is unusable.

This was not the deal-breaker for me, though.This rack doesn't work for small bikes!!!!I have a 44 cm frame, women's specific racing bike, and the "arm" was too large to fit my bike frame, so there is literally no way to hang my bike on this rack.Small cyclists, beware!

Delta Rothko Rolling Bicycle Stand Review

The stand assembles in around 10-15 minutes, depending on if you know which pre-drilled holes to use or not.The build quality is reasonable, but the bolts for the casters don't all fit screw in evenly.This doesn't affect the functionality, but seems like something that shouldn't be an issue w/ today's manufacturing technologies.

The casters are great, allowing some movement of the bike and stand without removing the bike.

The only areas of improvement are maybe some better design or feature that further prevents the wheel from tipping/leaning in either direction.Preferably a simple machining or stamping solution as part of the regular manufacturing process that doesn't increase the price would be best.

Compactness is good, too.I have 6 bikes in the garage, and they all store neatly next to each other.

Value, convenience, and size are this stand's strong points.

Delta Botticelli Four Bike Storage Rack Review

It was less than 15 minutes and I had it completely assembled.It has been a great help going vertical.
It is good for lighter bikes.If you have a very heavy mountain bike that weighs close to 30-35 lbs, it may not be the best option for you.
Road bike, commuter bikes, no problem.

Topeak Dual Touch Bike Storage Stand Review

I really wanted this product to work. Its very well made - german engineering. The concept is great - nothing to drill in the walls.
I read the other reviews, and understand why some like and some didn't like. I spent several hours over three days, and discovered that it depends on the surfaces you are installing it on (ceiling and floor). If you are putting this on carpet, with a textured ceiling - something for it to grab onto - it works. If you are putting it on a smooth concrete floor (in your garage, for example), or a smooth piece of wood (like in an unfinished ceiling in your garage), the stand doesn't grip tight enough and tends to move slightly. Under the weight of bikes, and with vibration from the garage door opener, it can fall over.

Swagman Hang It Bike Hanger Review

not too bad. Its really really easy to install, ships super fast. Only complaint I have is that the angle tighteners do not tighten the whole way, so basically they just rotate and the bike balences on them. I was not aware of this when I bought it. It looks good and is pretty sturdy. No problem holding two bikes, there's more than enough room. Just having the actual bike holder part not tighten is a upsetting.

Swagman 3 Bike Stand Review

I have several kids, and their bikes were always laying around where they shouldn't be before I bought this stand.

This stand is very lightweight, but is of good quality and holds all sizes of bike just fine.Great value for the price.The only downside is that the stand tends to move a bit when the bike is pushed into it.

If you have more $$$ to spend, I would recommend a stand made of heavier material that won't move as easily. Otherwise, no complaints whatsoever.

Delta Michelangelo Two-Bike Gravity Stand Review

I use this rack in my apartment to keep my bikes away from rain and thieves.I like that this rack requires no wall-drilling and keeps bikes flat against the wall (rather than sticking out like those racks that hang bikes by their front wheels.)I'm very impressed with its stability, considering the rack itself is pretty light.There's only one contact point with the wall, which has a big, rubber end (like the two feet) so it won't scratch or mark.The feet stick to my carpeted floor quite securely, and my guess is that they'd work well on noncarpeted surfaces, too.The hooks that hold up your bike have a generous, rubbery coating, so they won't scratch up your frame.I keep two bikes on the rack, with my regular commuter on the lower one, and the rack is quite stable, even when only the upper bike is on it.For those of you who care, the rack is manufactured in China, so I'm sure Delta's making a fortune, but I had lots of trouble finding a U.S.-made alternative.

Racor PBS-2R Two-Bike Floor Bike Stand Review

I've had this stand for over a year now. Took about five minutes to get it together. Held my 26" mountain bike just fine. I recently bought a new 26" MTB with disc brakes. The good news is that the disc rotors 'just barely' clear the support arms on this stand. You do have to futz with the bike's position on the stand a bit or the bike will 'lean' slightly on the rotor, but it isn't that hard to make it work. The bad news is that the support arm pairs are too close together to allow two mountain bikes of the same frame size to coexist peacefully in the same orientation. With front wheels inserted into the frame the handlebars clash big time. It works better if one bike has the front wheel in the frame and the other the rear wheel. The handlebar of one bike will still contact the seat of the other bike, but a simple turn of the handlebar on the outward-facing bike fixes this. This stand was obviously designed for two road bikes side-by-side, not MTBs. It would probably also be OK with two bikes of different frame sizes. Other than that, though, it's plenty sturdy and works well.

Racor Pro PLB-2R Two-Bike Gravity Freestanding Bike Stand Review

I've been wanting a bike rack like this for years. I've tried products that seemed similar, and they just didn't work for me. This one's exactly what I was looking for.
APPEARANCE
The rack arrived with no scratches. This was a surprise, given that two of the sections that make up the vertical post were loose in the manufacturer's box, and the box was a bit battered.
The rack itself looks great in my garage.
STABILITY
When positioned against (or near) a wall, the rack sways mildly when a bike is removed or replaced. The base is big enough and the overall design is such that removing the bottom bike (gently) doesn't seem to cause the whole thing to fall over--as long as the wall is there for backup. The manufacturer recommends anchoring the rack to the wall and includes hardware for this purpose.
ASSEMBLY
The central post is delivered in three sections: The base is the curved"T" that you can see in the picture on the Amazon site. The other two sections form the vertical tube.
These main sections fit very tightly together. As far as I'm concerned, this makes the whole thing more internally stable. To assemble the central post, I relied on a many squirts from my trusty can of WD-40, some wiggling, gravity, and patience. Without all that, I would've been stuck (and the sections would've been too).
The four arms that hold the two bikes attach into slots on either side of the vertical tube. I used a small block of wood to knock the arms in and out of the slots (I don't have a mallet, and it seemed like a hammer would dent/scratch the finish). Each bike is held by resting the top tube in cradles (at the end of each arm). The cradles easily rotate as needed to adapt to the angle of the top tube. Nice touch.
It definitely took some effort to put this rack together. However, I'm pleased with the results so far. It really frees up space! Taking it apart will be an interesting challenge some day.
Is it worth the price? Well... Even with the Amazon price, it seems a bit more expensive than other garage-quality bike racks. However, over the years I've spent more in total on other racks that didn't work out for me at all. This one is just what I wanted!
